The Brocade Foundry 40G-QSFP-LR4 is a high-performance 40 Gigabit QSFP+ optical transceiver designed for long-range fibre connectivity in enterprise networks, data centres, and service provider infrastructures.

This module supports 40GBASE-LR4 transmission over single-mode fibre (SMF) and is capable of reaching distances of up to 10 km, making it ideal for data centre interconnects, aggregation networks, and backbone connectivity.

Using CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology, the 40G-QSFP-LR4 combines four optical lanes into a single fibre pair, delivering high-bandwidth performance with efficient fibre utilisation.
